Mark and I saw the movie, "America, Imagine the World Without Her" yesterday in Cheyenne.  This is the new Denish D'Souza movie.  Denish is an immigrant from India and an author and movie producer.  He also a President Reagan era policy adviser.

The movie  begins with the premise that America did not come develop into a whole country made up of states.  What if it was  just individual, small countries.  He then delves into the reasons for those wanting America to decline and become something else.  These people want us to be a guilty nation because we: stole our land from  the Native Indians and then from the Mexicans; slavery; nation building around the world; and of course the oppressiveness of capilatism.

Dinesh gives historical examples of why some of these things did not happen, and fills in more of the story that have not been given in some of these accusations.  He shows those who have made it their lifes goals to push this agenda, some of whom are  very visible in politics today.

This was a well done, thought provoking movie.  Dinesh has been harrassed by the IRS this last year for campaign finance violation.  Some would wonder if this had something to do with his movies and book.  Kind of a coincidence?

I recommend this movie to you.  I especially liked the light moment of Delish D'ousza burger.

To save our country, each of us must do our part, whether small or large.  I am working locally to try to get conservative officials elected, and vote by being informed.  I also try to stop more new taxes, speak against more grants, and at least being aware of how pervasive government is in our lives.

If our country does not survive as a democratic republic, there will truly be nowhere to go.  The saving of our ideals and country is up to each of us "immigrants", new or naturalized.
